A place with a history
IT STARTED WITH CARP
... of course with a Carp. But not from the one floating in the pond, but the stone one, decorated with golden polychrome, decorating the facade of the tenement house. Once, instead of numbers, tenements had their own emblems, most often in the form of animals carved in stone. In this historic building No. 10, on the Krakow Main Market Square, we opened a restaurant. When the moment came to name the restaurant, the choice became obvious: ``Under the Golden Carp''.

The menu consists of traditional Polish cuisine in a modern interpretation. The dishes are composed of products from carefully selected regional suppliers.

The motto that accompanied the creation of Pod Złotym Karp from the beginning was: Without passion we are doomed to mediocrity. In order to bring the Polish tradition closer to guests, which is inseparably connected with the Christmas table, we fulfill the mission of convincing each visitor that carp can be a ``tasty symbol`` throughout the year. A truly Krakow feast will allow you to discover new flavors and experience a completely different, culinary version of dishes. We place special emphasis on typical Polish products, which is why the restaurant cooperates with local producers.

Delicious
Excellent cuisine. Traditional Polish sour rye soup served with a quail egg is a delight to the palate. I recommend Maczanka. Rib meat served in a delicious sauce. The method of serving is an art in itself.
